New Protein Chocolate Hamantaschen

Protein Hamantaschen

Want to add some protein to your Purim?

Ingredients:

150g butter or margarine
150g sugar
1 egg separate yolk from white
100g self raising flour
100g plain flour
One scoop of protein
Chocolate or peanut butter filling

Making the Dough:

In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar until soft.

Add the egg yolk.

Add flour and protein powder gradually, mixing well after each addition until a very stiff dough forms.

Add egg white

Lightly knead the dough to ensure everything is well combined.

Shaping and Filling:

Roll out the dough thinly on a floured surface and cut it into 3-inch rounds.

Place a piece of chocolate or peanut butter in the centre of each round.

Brush the edges of each round with water.

Fold the edges to the centre to form triangles, sealing the filling inside.

Baking:

Place the filled triangles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake in the preheated oven 425°F for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
